"Geniushene played beautifully with an exquisite touch and almost an infinite tonal palette."

NEW ALBUM BERCEUSE
NOW STREAMING ON ALL PLATFORMS
A unique and imaginative collection newly recorded on Piano Classics.
The sheer diversity of composers on this album makes for a continually varied sequence. George Crumb evokes a magical night-time stillness with a minimum of notes. Mompou’s Berceuse is likewise remarkable for its distilled serenity, whereas the examples by Granados, John Field and Liszt bring comfort with more Romantically moulded melodies in the tradition of Chopin. Anna Geniushene closes the album with two Russian Berceuses, by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky, lyrical, simple and utterly beguiling in her hands.

“Silver medallist Anna Geniushene’s performances take in Wyoming’s Grand Teton Music Festival, Château Mouton Rothschild in France and a night with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra.”
The Dallas Morning News
“Geniushene is clearly a solid and substantial musician. Her performances of Brahms’ Op. 10 Rhapsodies and Beethoven’s Op. 33 Bagatelles were magical.”
Gramophone
“Patience was the operative word in Anna Geniushene’s Brahms Ballades, Op 10, where her marble-tinged sonority and authoritative projection kept reminding me of Emil Gilels. Her outstanding Bartók Sonata was both grounded and mercurial.”
Onstage ntx
“Geniushene delivered a performance of rare devotion and insight.”
